Fernando Correa da Costa leads BSA’s compliance solutions efforts in Latin America by managing BSA’s internal legal affairs team in the region, as well as its outside enforcement counsel. He oversees day-to-day operations of relevant programs, including, legal requirements, and ensuring processes are operating efficiently, while producing and reviewing metrics for each program. His work helps ensure that BSA enforcement campaigns in Latin America effectively promote and enforce software license compliance on behalf of BSA member companies in the region.
Prior to joining BSA, Correa da Costa spent twelve years working at international law firms in Brazil and Washington, DC. He previously worked for Baker & McKenzie LLP, in Washington, DC, and Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom LLP in São Paulo, Brazil. He holds an LLM from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Law from Mackenzie University. He is admitted to the bar of New York and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional, Europe (CIPP-E). Correa da Costa is based in BSA’s Washington, DC office.
