Unlicensed Software Article in China Trade Agreement

In late January of 2020, the US and China reached a new trade agreement that includes provisions calling for an increase in the number of enforcement actions against infringing companies, particularly state-owned enterprises. BSA and its members are successfully leveraging this provision, including in connection with active cases before Chinese IP tribunals in key provinces.
