BSA Launching New Software Legalization Campaign in Southeast Asia
BSA is launching a new education campaign in Southeast Asia, entitled “Unlock Potential, Use Genuine.” Led by Tarun Sawney, BSA’s Senior Director, APAC, this campaign promotes the safe use of software and calls on engineering, design, and manufacturing firms to commit to using licensed software on national infrastructure projects. This campaign and its message are particularly timely in Southeast Asia, a region the Asian Development Bank has stated is entering an infrastructure boom, with billions of dollars budgeted for national infrastructure projects in Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The campaign will feature a series of public-facing launch events followed by direct outreach to over 20,000 companies offering free consultations and advisory services to help private sector enterprises ensure their software licensing processes reflect best practices. The campaign will take place from July 20 to October 1, 2021.
