Beverly Chang supports BSA’s General Counsel by overseeing the legal department’s daily operations, including BSA’s and its affiliates’ corporate governance, legal, and compliance efforts. Chang also assists in the management of BSA’s North America end-user compliance and enforcement program’s operations by overseeing the work of outside counsel in the United States and Canada.
Chang joined BSA from at the international law firm Shearman & Sterling LLP in Washington, DC and New York, NY. As an associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP, Beverly focused her practice in financings and advised corporate borrowers, private equity funds and lenders, in the context of acquisition financing related to technology companies. Prior to Shearman & Sterling LLP, Beverly was a corporate associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, also in Washington, DC. Prior to law school, Chang was a Consultant at IBM Corporation in their Global Business Services Division.
Chang holds a J.D. cum laude from The George Washington University in Washington, DC and a bachelor’s in science with distinction in economics and international comparative studies from Duke University. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Chang is admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia and in New York
