Hayati Yahaya leads BSA’s License Compliance Services (LCS) business in the Asia-Pacific region. She manages relationships with BSA’s members by understanding their needs and developing business solutions to acquire new customers and drive revenue growth. Yahaya oversees the entire LCS progression in the APAC region, from negotiating contracts to establishing plans to operation implementation and execution.
Yahaya is well seasoned on license compliance services and anti-piracy solutions. Through her knowledge and network with IP protection professionals, she generates high revenue in legalization throughout APAC, particularly in China, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and India.
Before joining BSA, Yahaya served as Country Manager for the Motion Picture Association of America (“MPAA”) in Malaysia from 1998 to 2008, where worked to protect Hollywood studios’ intellectual property rights and helped drive their business growth in Malaysia. Prior to joining the MPAA, she was an attorney for Shearn Delamore & Co, a renowned legal firm in Malaysia, where she practiced intellectual property law specializing in copyrights and trademarks. Yahaya holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with Honors from International Islamic University. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1996.
